Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Eden Carter, 5-9 Sr. Kessaney Melton, 5-7 Fr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Fr. Nataya Strader.  Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. countered with 5-9 Sr. Makayla Varney, 5-7 Sr. Callie Thompson, 5-8 Sr. Leila Custard, 5-8 So. Olivia Tierney, and 5-8 Sr. Timothi Williams.  ( Tonight was Senior night at Great Crossing and Coach Wilson started all his seniors., 5-7 Jr. Rachel Smith was out tonight recovering from an injury.

 

Bailey Hensley scored on a putback as time expired to give Madison Central a 58-56 come-from-behind victory over Great Crossing.  Madison Central trailed by 12 points in the third quarter but fought back for the victory.  There were nine ties and eight lead changes in this game.  Madison Central shot 35.9% from the field including five of22 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Great crossing turnovers.  Great Crossing shot 41.4% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Warhawks connected on two of six free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored seven points off 13 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 20 points, 12 rebounds, , four assists, and two steals.  Eden Carter added nine points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Brittany Campbell recorded seven points, six rebounds, nine assists, and five steals.  Nataya Strader added seven points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 

 

Timothi Williams led Great Crossing with 20 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, six assists, two blocked shots, and five steals.  6-0 Jr. Reagan Barrett added 12 points and five rebounds.  5-10 So. Ava Schureman recorded eight points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Leila Custard chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.  Olivia Tierney added five points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  6-0 Fr. Kennedy Harrison chipped in with three points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.
