Madison Southern coach Austin Newton started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Jay Rose, 6-3 Sr. Blake Simpson, 6-6 Sr. Hezekiah Fogle, 5-8 Fr. Casen Nobbe, and 6-0 So. Braden Hudson.  South Laurel coach Jeff Davis countered with 6-2 Jr. Caden Jones, 6-1 Jr. Eli Gover, 6-5 Sr. Brayden Reed, 5-11 So. Ashton Garland, and 6-0 Jr. Parker Payne.

South Laurel led 35-31 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 71-52 victory over Madison Southern.  The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in this game.  South Laurel shot 54.8% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 43.2% from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored three points off 10 South Laurel turnovers.

Parker Payne led South Laurel with 19 points including three three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  Brayden Reed added 19 points and three steals.  Reed was six of six from the field including one of one from beyond the arc and six of eight free throws.  Eli Gover recorded 17 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists. 

Jay Rose led Madison Southern with 33 points including five three point baskets, four of seven free throws, four rebounds, and two assists.  Braden Hudson added six points on two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Hezekiah Fogle recorded six points and six rebounds.
