Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard countered with 5-10 Jr. Lauren Thomas, 5-8 So. Lydia VanMeter, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Williams, 5-2 Fr. Ariyana Sutton, and 5-8 So. Allison Stone.
George Rogers Clark raced out to a 25-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 65-27 victory over Henry Clay. GRC shot 42.9% from the field including two of nine from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 41 points off 36 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 28.25 from the field including one of five from beyond the arc. The Lady Blue Devils connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off 21 GRC turnovers.
Brianna Byars led GRC with 23 points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. Ciara Byars added 15 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and eight steals. Tyra Flowers recorded nine points, four rebounds, and two steals.
Allison Stone led Henry Clay with 10 points and three rebounds. Kennedy Williams added eight points and four rebounds. Lauren Thomas recorded four points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.
