Lexington Catholic coach Lee Tegt started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Katherine Truitt, 5-10 Jr. Olivia Bretz, 5-9 So. Lydia Kennedy, 5-7 Jr. Lucy Nash, and 5-8 Fr. Abby Hammond.  Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard countered with 5-10 Jr. Lauren Thomas, 5-8 So. Lydia VanMeter, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Williams, 5-2 Fr. Ariyana Sutton, and 5-8 So. Allison Stone.

 

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 23-10 first quarter lead but Henry Clay rallied for a 69-62 victory.  There were three lead changes and three ties in this game.  Henry Clay shot 54.3% from the field including three of six from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 43.8% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 16 of 27 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 19 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Kennedy Williams led Henry Clay with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.  Allison Stone added 18 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, and five rebounds.  Lauren Thomas recorded 10 points and four rebounds.  Ariyana Sutton chipped in with six points, five rebounds, eight assists, and six steals.

 

Katherine Truitt led Lexington Catholic with 31 points including 11 of 17 free throws, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Abby Hammond added 15 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and seven assists.  Lydia Kennedy recorded nine points, five rebounds, and two steals.
