Great Crossing vs. West Jessamine (Girls)

Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Ava Schureman, 5-8 Sr. Leilia Custard, 6-0 Jr. Raegan Barrett, 5-8 So. Olivia Tierney, and 5-8 Sr. Timothi Williams.  West Jessamine coach Jana Hughes countered with 5-10 8th Grade Kimberly Johnson, 5-9 7th Grade Claire Marshall, 6-0 Sr. Aaliyah Edenstrom, 5-5 8th Grade Ariana McLoney, and 5-5 8th Grade Anaya Chestnut.

 

West Jessamine defeated Great Crossing by the score of 80-71.  There were 10 ties and 11 lead changes in this game.  West Jessamine shot 495 from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on 26 of 34 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Great Crossing turnovers.  Great Crossing shot 36.4% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Warhawks connected on 17 of 20 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 West Jessamine turnovers.

 

Ariana McLoney led West Jessamine with 23 points including three three point baskets, four of four free throws and five rebounds.  Claire Marshall added 16 points including eight of 12 free throws, and eight rebounds.  Anaya Chestnut recorded 15 points including eight of 12 free throws,   Kimberly Johnson chipped in with 12 points including four of four free throws and eight rebounds. Aaliyah Edenstrom recorded 12 points and nine rebounds.

 

Timothi Williams led Great Crossing with 23 points including two three point baskets, three of three free throws, three assists, and two steals.  Olivia Tierney added 16 points including five of six free throws, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Ava Schureman recorded 11 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Raegan Barrett chipped in with nine points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.
