St. Henry District vs. Great Crossing (Boys)

St. Henry District coach David Faust started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Matthew Resing, 6-1 Jr. Jack Grayson, 6-4 Sr. Camden Fedders, 6-0 Jr. Rhet Ravenscraft, and 6-0 Sr. Owen Setters.  Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-3 Sr. Tye Schureman, 6-5 Fr. Vince Dawson, 6-5 Sr. Ethan Payne, 5-10 Sr. Carson Walls, and 5-11 Sr. Tyquan Stakelin.

 

Great Crossing led 59-41 in the final quarter but had to withstand a furious rally by St. Henry to earn a 74-72 victory.  There was one lead change and two ties in this game.  Great Crossing shot 41.5% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Warhawks connected on 15 of 28 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 19 St. Henry turnovers.  St. Henry shot 47.6% from the field including one of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Crusaders connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 13 Great Crossing turnovers.

 

6-10 Fr. Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 15 points, 14 rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Tye Schureman added 15 points including three three point baskets, and four rebounds.  5-9 Fr. Junius Burrell recorded 12 points including six of 10 free throws, eight assists, and three steals.  Vince Dawson chipped in with nine points, six rebounds, and three steals.  6-6 So. Jeremiah Godfrey added nine points and three rebounds.

 

Matthew Resing led St. Henry with 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  Camden Fedders added 17 points and seven rebounds.  Owen Setters recorded 15 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists.  Jack Grayson chipped in with eight points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
