North Laurel coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Ryan Davidson, 6-3 Jr. Reed Sheppard, 6-2 Sr. Caden Harris, 5-11 Sr. Clay Sizemore, and 6-0 So. Brody Brock.  Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-6 Jr. Chandler Starks, 6-1 Jr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-8 Sr. Mitchell Rylee, 5-11 Jr. Evan Ipsaro, and 6-1 So. Brady Hussey.

Covington Catholic outscored North Laurel 26-12 in the third quarter on their way to a 58-50 victory over the Jaguars.  Covington Catholic shot 53.8% from the field including zero of fve from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 16 of 19free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.  North Laurel shot 47.6% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 23 points including nine of nine free throws, five assists, and three steals.  Mitchell Rylee added 22 points and seven rebounds.  Chandler Starks recorded three rebounds, four assists, and six steals.

Ryan Davidson led North Laurel with 18 points and six rebounds.  Reed Sheppard added 18 points including five of six free throws and three rebounds.  Brody Brock recorded nine points, three rebounds, and two assists.
