Frederick Douglass coach Daryl Moberly started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Allison Wallace, 5-9 Sr. Bresha Love, 6-2 So. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington, 5-6 Sr. Kennedi Brooks, and 5-7 Fr. Nia Rhodes.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Olivia Cathers, 5-10 Fr. Savannah Simpson, 6-1 Sr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Sr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-5 Jr. Gracyn Grantz.

 

Lafayette outscored Frederick Douglass 22-11 in the final quarter to earn a 57-45 victory.  Lafayette shot 34% from the field including five of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 33 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 37.9% from the field including eight of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Broncos connected on 15 of 30 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Anaya Brown led Lafayette with 29 points including two three point baskets, seven of seven free throws, five rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Gracyn Grantz added 12 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, two rebounds, and three steals.  Olivia Cathers recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals. 

 

Niah Rhodes led Frederick Douglass with 17 points including five three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Ayanna-Sarai Darrington added 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Allison Wallace recorded seven points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals.
