Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Eden Carter, 5-9 Sr. Kessaney Melton, 5-7 Fr. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 Fr. Nataya Strader. Casey County coach Tara Weddle countered with 5-6 Jr. Madison Chansler, 5-6 Sr. Jalee Yocum, 5-7 Jr. Chloe Dunn, 5-4 8th Grade Molly Gill, and 5-6 Sr. Natalie Pierce.
Madison Central broke open a close battle with Casey County, going on a 16-2 run in the final quarter to earn a 58-43 victory on the road. There were eight lead changes and seven ties in this game. Madison Central shot 36.4% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 29 Casey County turnovers. Casey County shot 41.5% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Rebels connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored four points off eight Madison Central turnovers.
Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals. Brittany Campbell added 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and seven steals. Nataya Strader recorded 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Jalee Yocum led Casey County with 14 points including four of five free throws, 12 rebounds, and two steals. Chloe Dunn added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Natalie Pierce recorded 10 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.
