Great Crossing vs. Scott County (Boys)

Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-5 Fr. Vince Dawson, 6-6 So, Jeremiah Godfrey 6-10 Fr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Fr. Junius Burrell, and 6-3 Sr. Tye Schureman.  Scott County coach Tim Glenn countered with 6-2 Sr. Isaiah Haynes, 6-1 Sr. Jeremy Hamilton, 6-4 Jr. Nick Mosby, 5-8 Jr. JZ Middleton, and 5-10 Sr. Andrew Willhite.

 

Great Crossing defeated Scott County by the score of 67-58.  There were 18 lead changes and 10 ties in this game.  Great Crossing shot 50% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line.  The Warhawks connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 11 of 11 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers.

 

Vince Dawson led Great Crossing with 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Malachi Moreno added 13 points, 15 rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Tye Schureman recorded 12 points on four three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Junius Burrell chipped in with nine points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

 

Isaiah Haynes led Scott County with 16 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two steals.  JZ Middleton added 14 points including two three point baskets and four assists.  Nick Mosby recorded 12 points including four of four free throws and six rebounds.
