Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Chandler Starks, 6-1 Jr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-8 Sr. Mitchell Rylee, 5-11 Jr. Evan Ipsaro, and 6-1 So. Brady Hussey.  Conner coach Matthew Otte countered with 6-3 Jr. Daniel Campbell, 6-1 Sr. Alex Castrucci, 6-5 Sr. Landen Cook, 6-0 Jr. Landen Hamilton, and 6-2 Jr. Ayden Lohr. 

 

Covington Catholic pulled away in the second half to defeat Conner by the score of 76-56.  Covington Catholic shot 65.3% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and committed eight turnovers.  Conner shot 40% from the field including eight of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Cougars connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.

 

Mitchell Rylee led Covington Catholic with 20 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Rylee was nine of nine from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  Chandler Starks recorded 15 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.  Evan Ipsaro recorded 15 points, two rebounds, and 10 assists.  Kascyl McGillis chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets and three assists.  Brady Hussey added eight points including two three point baskets and five assists.

 

Ayden Lohr led Conner with 15 points including three three point baskets and two assists.  Landen Hamilton added 10 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, five rebounds, and two steals.  Daniel Campbell recorded eight points and three rebounds.  5-10 Jr. Daniel Kramer chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
