Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 6-0 Fr. ZaKiyah Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Josie Gilvin, 6-0 Sr. Alex Wolff, 5-8 Sr. Olivia Kaufman, and 5-10 So. Reagan Bender.  Ryle coach Katie Haitz countered with 5-11 So. Quinn Eubank, 5-10 Jr. Austin Johnson, 6-1 So. Sarah Baker, 5-6 Jr. Meredith Snider, and 5-11 Jr. Abby Holtman.

 

Sacred Heart Academy defeated Ryle by the score of 72-56.  There were two lead changes and three ties in this game.  Sacred Heart shot 51.7% from the field including two of 11 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Ryle turnovers.  Ryle shot 37.3% from the field including eight of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Raiders connected on 10 of 11 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

ZaKiyah Johnson led Sacred Heart with 24 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Angelina Pelayo added 20 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.  Reagan Bender recorded 15 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Josie Gilvin chipped in with two points, five rebounds, six assists, and seven steals.

 

Abby Holtman led Ryle with 20 points including five three point baskets and five rebounds.  Quinn Eubank added 13 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Austin Johnson recorded 10 points including four of four free throws, three rebounds, and two steals.  Meredith Snider chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and two steals.
