Male vs. Henry Clay (Boys)

Male coach Tim Haworth started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Dez Lindsay, 6-4 8th Grade Jayden Johnson, 6-7 Jr. Kaleb Glenn, 5-10 Jr. Jack Edelen, and 6-2 Jr. Demetrius White.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Sr. Aziel Blackwell, 6-2 Jr. Kyan Miller, 6-7 Sr. Brenden Wicker, 5-9 Jr. Konlin Brown, and 6-1 Sr. Kanye Henderson.

 

Male pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Henry Clay by the score of 63-48.  There were three lead changes and five ties in the game.  Male shot 47.9% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 35.8% from the field including seven of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on three of nine free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Male turnovers.

 

Jack Edelen led Male with 19 points including three three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, and four assists.  Kaleb Glenn added 16 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Dez Lindsay recorded 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

 

Aziel Blackwell led Henry Clay with 18 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two assists.  Kanye Henderson added 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Konlin Brown recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.
