South Laurel coach Jeff Davis started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Caden Jones, 6-1 Jr. Eli Gover, 6-5 Sr. Brayden Reed, 5-11 So. Ashton Garland, and 6-0 Jr. Parker Payne.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Ted Hall countered with 6-3 Jr. Tyler Hall, 6-1 Sr. Jeffrey Selby, 6-4 Sr. Pierce Ragland, 6-0 So. Brayden Mirus, and 6-1 Sr. Jack Preston.

South Laurel trailed 29-27 at halftime but rallied in the second half, buoyed by a 12-4 advantage in the third quarter to earn a 60-50 victory over Lexington Christian Academy.  There were six lead changes and two ties in this game.  South Laurel shot 56.4% from the floor including eight of 15 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 40.4% from the field including nine of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 South Laurel turnovers.

Eli Gover led South Laurel with 15 points on five three point baskets. Parker Payne added 14 points including two three point baskets, four of five free throws, three rebounds, and four assists.  Brayden Reed recovered 12 points and six rebounds.  Caden Jones chipped in with seven points and seven rebounds.

Jeffrey Selby led LCA with 12 points on four three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Pierce Ragland added 11 points and four rebounds.  Tyler Hall recorded 11 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
