Great Crossing vs. East Jessamine (Girls)

Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Ava Schureman, 5-8 Sr. Leilia Custard, 6-0 Jr. Raegan Barrett, 5-8 So. Olivia Tierney, and 5-8 Sr. Timothi Williams.  East Jessamine coach Steve Bridenbaugh countered with 5-6 Jr. Jermyra Christian, 5-6 Jr. Iesha Dean, 5-11 Jr. Linzey Napier, 5-4 Jr. Reece Evans, and 5-4 Sr. Irma Hagins.

 

Great Crossing rallied in the second half to defeat East Jessamine by the score of 58-50.  There were six ties and six lead changes in the game.  Great Crossing shot 39.1% from the field including two of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Warhawks connected on 20 of 26 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored eight points off eight East Jessamine turnovers.  East Jessamine shot 27.9% from the field including six of 35 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 10 of 22 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Great Crossing turnovers.

 

Raegan Barrett led Great Crossing with 14 points including four of five free throws and eight rebounds.  Timothi Williams added 13 points including eight of 10 free throws, four rebounds, and five assists.  Olivia Tierney recorded nine points and three rebounds.  Ava Schureman chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.  Leilia Custard added six points and five rebounds.

 

Jermyra Christian led East Jessamine with 16 points, nine rebounds, and four steals.  Irma Hagins added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Iesha Dean recorded seven points and 11 rebounds.
