Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Chandler Starks, 6-1 Jr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-8 Sr. Mitchell Rylee, 5-11 Jr. Evan Ipsaro, and 6-1 So. Brady Hussey.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-6 Jr. Trey Skaggs, 6-4 Sr. Will Hardin, 6-7 Sr. Robby Todd, 5-11 So. Parker Mullins, and 6-5 Jr. Jaylen Davis.

Covington Catholic defeated Madison Central by the score of 63-49…Covington Catholic shot 46.7% from the field including five of nine from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 16 of 17 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  Madison Central shot 47.4% from the field including eight of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 14 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 17 points including six of six free throws, four rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.  Chandler Starks added 16 points including six of seven free throws, nine rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Mitchell Rylee recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds. 

Will Hardin led Madison Central with 20 points including four three point baskets and three rebounds.  Jaylen Davis added 11 points and two assists.  Robby Todd recorded eight points and two rebounds.  Trey Skaggs chipped in with seven points and four rebounds.
