Model coach John Morgerson countered with 6-0 Jr. Keshav Bhandari, 6-0 So. Maddox Marks, 6-0 Sr. Thomas Luxon, 5-9 Fr. Beckett Parker-Noblitt, and 5-11 Jr. Cale Vicars.
Madison Southern led 20-3 after the first quarter on their way to a 72-37 victory over Model. Madison Southern shot 46.8% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Model turnovers. Model shot 30.6% from the field including three of 17 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored three points off eight Madison Southern turnovers.
Jay Rose led Madison Southern with 21 points including three three point baskets, four of six free throws, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals. 6-5 Jr. Brett Erslan added 12 points and nine rebounds. 6-1 So. Zach Hudson recorded seven points including four of four free throws and seven rebounds. Casen Nobbe chipped in with five points, seven assists, and five steals.
Keshav Bhandari led Model with 13 points and two assists. Cale Vicars added 12 points including two three point baskets. Thomas Luxon recorded six points and four rebounds.
