Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-7 Jr. Tyra Young, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, 6-1 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-4 Sr. Brianna Penney, and 5-6 Sr. Emma Price.
Sayre captured a 45-42 decision over Scott County. There were three ties and six lead changes in this game. Sayre shot 32.7% from the field including three of six from the three point line. The Lady Spartans connected on 10 of 25 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 15 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 34% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Sayre turnovers.
Kylee Dennis led Sayre with 18 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Ab Cyuzuzo 13 points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals. Sophia Richardson recorded seven points, five rebounds, and two assists.
Kenady Tompkins led Scott County with 16 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and four blocked shots. Maleiyah Moore added nine points and two rebounds. Emma Price recorded eight points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Tyra Young chipped in with five points, five rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots.
