Henry Clay coach Ashley Garrard started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Lauren Thomas, 5-8 So. Lydia VanMeter, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Williams, 5-2 Fr. Ariyana Sutton, and 5-8 So. Allison Stone.  Frederick Douglass coach Daryl Moberly countered with 5-9 Sr. Allison Wallace, 5-9 Sr. Bresha Love, 6-2 So. Ayanna-Sarai Darrington, 5-3 Fr. Kate Baker, and 5-7 Fr. Niah Rhodes.

 

Henry Clay defeated Frederick Douglass by the score of 63-52.  Henry Clay shot 48.6% from the field including four of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 23 of 32 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 27 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 36% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Broncos connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 18 points of 25 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Kennedy Williams led Henry Clay with 24 points and eight rebounds.  Lydia VanMeter added 15 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  Allison Stone recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists.  Ariyana Sutton chipped in with eight points, two rebounds, eight assists, and six steals.  Lauren Thomas added five points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and six steals.

 

Ayanna-Sarai Darrington led Frederick Douglass with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.  Niah Rhodes added 15 points including three three point baskets.  Allison Wallace recorded 10 points including four of five free throws, seven rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots, and two steals.  Kate Baker chipped in with six points, two rebounds, two assists, and five steals.
