Frederick Douglass coach Jason Moseley started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Tyson Barrett, 6-0 Jr. Tylon Webb, 6-7 Sr. Shemar O’Roy-Ford, 5-5 Fr. Armelo Boone, and 5-11 Jr. Kai Simpson.  Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon countered with 6-5 Sr. Terik Mulder, 6-1 Sr. Jaden Green, 6-6 Jr. Jaden Biggers, 5-10 Fr. Ethan Dunn, and 6-0 Sr. Andrew Cairel.

 

Frederick Douglass outscored Bryan Station 27-16 in the final quarter to defeat the Defenders 58-52 in a come-from-behind victory.  The score was tied three times and there were five lead changes in this game.    Frederick Douglass shot 39.6% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line.  The Broncos connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 34% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 21 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

 

Kai Simpson led Frederick Douglass with 24 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, and three assists.  Tyson Barrett added 18 points, three rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Armelo Boone recorded seven points, five rebounds, and five assists. Shemar O’Roy-Ford pulled down eight rebounds.

 

6-6 Sr. Kamuena Bless led Bryan Station with 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Jaden Biggers added 11 points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  6-1 So. Trenton Cutwright recorded 10 points, two assists, and four steals.  Andrew Cairel chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.
