Tates Creek coach Matt Yates started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Joyce Mukalamusi, 5-5 Jr. Jada Bell, 5-8 Sr. Jameela Shalash, 5-2 Sr. Alisce Lyvers, and 5-5 Sr. Maddie Kauffman.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Fr. Savannah Simpson, 5-10 Sr. Olivia Cathers, 6-1 Sr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Sr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-5 Jr. Gracyn Grantz.

 

Lafayette defeated Tates Creek 55-53 in overtime.  The score was tied nine times and there were eight lead changes in this game.  Lafayette shot 37.2% from the field including six of 22 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 26.9% from the field including five of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on 20 of 31 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Anaya Brown led Lafayette with 30 points including two three point baskets, 14 of 15 free throws, 13 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.  5-10 Fr. Tess Nelson added seven points, three rebounds, and five assists.  Olivia Cathers added six points and seven rebounds.  Savannah Simpson chipped in with four points and seven rebounds.  Catherine Jacobs added six points on two three point baskets, two assists, and two steals.

 

Maddie Kauffman led Tates Creek with 16 points including three three point baskets and five of six free throws.  5-6 So. Ashton Harris added 12 points and six rebounds.  Joyce Mukalamusi recorded 12 points including eight of 11 free throws.  Jada Bell chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
