Lexington Catholic coach Lee Tegt started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Katherine Truitt, 5-10 Jr. Olivia Bretz, 5-9 So. Lydia Kennedy, 5-7 Jr. Lucy Nash, and 5-8 Fr. Abby Hammond.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Olivia Cathers, 5-10 Fr. Savannah Simpson, 6-1 Sr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Sr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-5 Jr. Gracyn Grantz.

 

Lafayette defeated Lexington Catholic by the score of 50-41.  Lafayette shot 51.7% from the field including four of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 16 of 25 from the free throw line, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 24.1% from the field including five of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Anaya Brown led Lafayette with 12 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Olivia Cathers added nine points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Gracyn Grantz recorded eight points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.  Savannah Simpson chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.

 

Katherine Truitt led Lexington Catholic with 16 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Lydia Kennedy added six points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  5-8 Sr. Peyton Mayo recorded five points and three rebounds.
