Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Chandler Starks, 6-1 Jr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-8 Sr. Rylee Mitchell, 5-11 Jr. Evan Ipsaro, and 6-1 So. Brady Hussey.  Covington Holy Cross coach Casey Sorrell countered with 6-4 Sr. Dylan Arlinghaus, 6-1 Jr. Jacob Meyer, 6-10 Jr. Sam Gibson, 5-8 Sr. Javier Ward, and 5-10 Sr. Maddux Hoffman.

 

Covington Catholic defeated Covington Holy Cross by the score of 96-57.  Covington Catholic shot 47.5% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 31 of 43 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and committed four turnovers.  Covington Holy Cross shot 45.2% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers.

 

Evan Ipsatro led Covington Catholic with 22 points including two three point baskets, 12 of 15 free throws, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Mitchell Rylee added 20 points including 10 of 14 free throws, 14 rebounds, and four assists.  Chandler Starks recorded 16 points including six of 10 free throws, 14 rebounds, and five steals.  6-2 Sr. Mekhi Wilson chipped in with 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Brady Hussey added 10 points including two three point baskets.

 

Jacob Hand led Covington Holy Cross with 31 points including four three point baskets, seven of nine free throws, six rebounds, and three assists.  Sam Gibson added seven points.  6-4 Sr. Ryan Pulsfort recorded five points and three rebounds.
