Christian Academy of Louisville started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Addison Kincaid, 5-6 So. Savannah Gardner, 5-8 So. Mariah Knight, 5-6 Sr. Abigail Embry, and 5-7 Sr. Jaya McClure. DuPont Manual coach Jeff Sparks countered with 5-9 Jr. Jakayla Thompson, 5-8 Sr. Ayanna Stroud, 6-0 Sr. Daisha White, 5-4 Jr. Sydne Tolbert, and 5-5 Jr. Jazmin Chatman.
DuPont Manual defeated Christian Academy of Louisville by the score of 63-39. Manual shot 52.1% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Crimsons connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 CAL turnovers. CAL shot 26.2% from the field including one of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Centurions connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Manual turnovers.
Jakayla Thompson led Manual with 25 points including two three point baskets, three of four free throws, and four rebounds. Sydne Tolbert added 14 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and five assists. Ayanna Stroud recorded 11 points and five rebounds. Daisha White pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked three shots.
Jaya McClure led CAL with eight points, five rebounds, and two assists. Savannah Gardner added eight points, 10 rebounds, and one steal. Addison Kincaid recorded six points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Mariah Knight chipped in with four points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.
