Jeffersontown defeated Doss by the score of 59-54 to give Coach Richard Duncan the championship in a season in which the 6th region was widely known as the “wild. wild west” because it was one of the most competitive regions in the state with no easy nights in the ‘ville. 6-0 So. Drae Vasser led Jeffersontown with 18 points and four steals. 6-7 Sr. LaVonte Harris added 15 points and seven rebounds. 6-4 Sr. Will Vasser and 6-5 Sr. Brian Gatewood recorded nine and seven points respectively.
6-1 Sr. Inslee Carroll continued his sterling play with 18 points to lead Doss. 6-0 Sr. Jeremiah Glover and 5-8 Jr. Marcus Barker added 11 and nine points respectively. 6-6 Sr. Tony Moss chipped in with seven points.
