Belmont Union Local (25-4) vs. Cincinnati Purcell Marian (25-1) Division III (Semifinal)

 

Belmont Local Union coach Louis Stolzda started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Torre Kildow, 5-7 Sr. Kiera Gregor, 6-0 Jr. Reagan Vinskovich, 5-2 Jr. Emmy Kellaway, and 5-7 Sr. Hannah Merritt.  Cincinnati Purcell Marian coach Jamar Mosley countered with 5-8 So. Jayda Mosley, 5-7 Jr. Nicohl Dicks, 6-1 Fr. Dee Alexander, 5-7 Fr. Cy’Aira Miller, and Ky’Aira Miller.

 

Cincinnati Purcell Marian defeated Belmont Union Local by the score of 59-43.  CPM led by three at halftime but pulled away in the second half.  There were four ties and six lead changes in this game.  CPM shot 43.6% from the field including three of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Cavaliers connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 BUL turnovers.  BUL shot 28.1% from the field including four of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Jets connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 14 CPM turnovers.

 

Dee Alexander led CPM with 19 points including three of four free throws, 13 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Jayda Mosley added 18 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Ky’Aira Miller recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals. 

 

Reagan Vinskovich led BUL with 13 points including three of four free throws, and eight rebounds.  Torre Kildow added 13 points, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.  Hannah Merritt recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.  Keira Gregor pulled down eight rebounds.

Apple Creek Waynedale coach Rick Geiser started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Worthington Christian raced out to a 17-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 55-24 victory over Apple Creek Waynedale.  WCH shot 27.5% from the field including eight of 25 from the three point line.  The Warriors connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 ACW turnovers.  ACW shot 21.4% from the field including one of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Bears connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 WCH turnovers.

 

Megan Weakley led WCH with 16 points including four three point baskets and two rebounds.  Meghan Mayotte added 14 points including six of six free throws, six rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Jaeda Tagoe recorded eight points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Blessing King added six points, 12 rebounds, three assists, four blocked shots, and two steals. 

 

Cherlyn Miller led ACW with six points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Sr. Kylie Nussbaum and So. McKenna Baney each scored five points.  Brooklyn Yoder pulled down six rebounds.

Thornville Sheridan coach Justin Walters started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Jamisyn Stinson, 5-9 Fr. Halle Warner, 6-1 Se. Faith Stinson, 5-8 Sr. Bailey Beckstedt, and 5-9 Sr. Abby Dupler.  Norton coach Brian Miller countered with Sr. Bailey Accord, Jr. Addie Kropp, 5-10 Sr. Gabby Destefano, So. Morgan Hallett, and 5-6 Sr. Bailey Shutsa.

 

Thornville Sheridan defeated Norton 68-60 in overtime.  The second overtime ended in confusion as Morton’s Bailey Shutsa hit a 40 foot shot late for the apparent win but it was determined the shot came after the buzzer and the teams went to the third overtime where Thornville Sheridan outscored Norton 8-0 to finally earn the decision.  There were 11 ties and eight lead changes in this game.  Thornville Sheridan shot 37% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 21 of 27 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Norton turnovers.  Norton shot 35% from the field including eight of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Panthers connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 20 Thornville Sheridan turnovers.

 

Jamisyn Stinson led Thornville Sheridan with 21 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Faith Stinson added 17 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and six blocked shots.  Halle Warner recorded 11 points including seven of eight free throws, and four rebounds.  Bailey Beckstedt chipped in with 10 points including six of eight free throws, two rebounds, and five assists.  5-11 So. Nora Saffell added seven points and 10 rebounds.

 

Gabby Destefano led Norton with 18 points including five three point baskets, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Bailey Shutsa added 18 points, two rebounds, four assists, and seven steals.  Addie Kropp recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.

Kettering Archbishop Alter defeated Columbus Bishop Hartley by the score of 69-33.  Alter shot 46.4% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 29 CBH turnovers.  CBH shot 27.9% from the field including two of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Hawks connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 22 Alter turnovers.

 

Riley Smith led Alter with 19 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Maddie Moody added 14 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Emma Hansley recorded six points on two three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals.

New Knoxville defeated Cincinnati Country Day by the score of 39-28.  New Knoxville shot 43.8% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Rangers connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Cincinnati Country Day turnovers.  Cincinnati Country Day shot 26.3% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Nighthawks connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored one point off 18 New Knoxville turnovers.

 

Ellie Gabel led New Knoxville with 12 points including two three point baskets, four of five free throws, six rebounds, and two assists.  Carsyn Henschen added 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Avery Henschen recorded five points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and three blocked shots.

Fr. Kendall Sury led a balanced Waterford scoring attack with eight points on three of four from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  Cara Taylor added seven points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Mackenzie Suprano recorded six points on two three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.  Lilly Franchino chipped in with six points on two three point baskets.  Avery Wagner recorded three points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four blocked shots.

Reynoldsburg vs. Mason Division I (Championship)

 

Reynoldsburg coach Jack Purtell started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Imarianah Russell, 5-10 Sr. Mya Perry, 5-11 Jr. Samara Savoy, 5-5 Sr.. Trinity Ramos, and 5-9 Sr. Makiya Miller. 

Mason coach Rob Matula countered with 6-2 Jr. Gabby Razzano, 5-11 Fr. Madison Parrish, 6-6 Sr. Kyla Oldacre, 5-5 Jr. Joy Resig, and 5-9 Jr. Amanda Barnes.

 

Reynoldsburg defeated Mason 63-56 in overtime.  There were seven ties and seven lead changes in this game.  Reynoldsburg shot 44.7% from the field including nine of 22 from the three point line.  The Raiders connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Mason turnovers.  Mason shot 46.5% from the field including one of four from beyond the arc.  The Comets connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Reynoldsburg turnovers.

 

Imarianah Russell led Reynoldsburg with 28 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Mya Perry added 16 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Makiya Miller recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.  Trinity Ramos chipped in with six points on two three point baskets, two rebounds, and five assists.

 

Kyla Oldacre led Mason with 17 points including five of eight free throws, 13 rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Madison Parrish added 12 points including eight of eight free throws, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Amanda Barnes recorded 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Gabby Razzano chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.
