Ottawa-Glandorf (25-2) vs. Columbus Africentric (23-6) Division III (Semifinal)

 

Ottawa-Glandorf coach Tyson McGlaughlin started the following lineup: Sr. Carter Schimmoeller, Sr. Caleb Kuhlman, 6-2 Sr. Eli Schmenk, Jr. Theo Maag, and 6-4 So. Colin White.  Columbus Africentric coach Michael Bates countered with 6-6 Jr. Preston Steele, 6-3 Sr. Josiah Smith, 6-8 Jr. Dailyn Swain, 6-0 Jr. Dyson Bibins, and 6-1 Sr. Dan Wagner.

 

Ottawa-Glandorf trailed 37-31 after three quarters but went on a 12-0 run to open the final quarter on their way to a 53-48 victory over Columbus Africentric.  There were two ties and two lead changes in this game.  Ottawa-Glandorf shot 35.3% from the field including four of 16 from the three point line.  The Titans connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Columbus Africentric turnovers.  Columbus Africentric shot 37% from the field including zero of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Nubians connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Ottawa-Glandorf turnovers.

 

Colin White led Ottawa-Glandorf with 31 points including two three point baskets, seven of 10 free throws, 11 rebounds, three assists, and five blocked shots.  Caleb Kuhlman added 10 points including three of four free throws, and three rebounds.  Theo Maag and Eli Schmenk each pulled down seven rebounds.

Rayvon Griffith led Cincinnati Taft with 17 points including five of six free throws, six rebounds, and two assists.  Brandon Cromer added 11 points and five rebounds.  Mekhi Elmore recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Kierain Granville-Britten chipped in with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Ramar Pryor led St. Vincent-St. Mary with 23 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  Sencire Harris added 18 points, five rebounds, six assists, and seven steals.  Darius Stratford recorded 10 points and five rebounds.  Lance Hayes chipped in with eight points including six of eight free throws and six rebounds.

Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary broke the game open in the third quarter on their way to a 63-35 victory over Gilmour Academy.  The Fighting Irish led 24-17 at halftime but a 16-0 lead in the third quarter settled the issue.  Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary shot 50.9% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Fighting Irish connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Gilmour Academy turnovers.  Gilmour Academy shot 38.2% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lancers connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and score one point off three Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary turnovers.

Jaiden Cox-Holloway led Richmond Heights with 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Detric Hearst Jr. who started in place of the injured Josiah Harris added 10 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.  De’erick  Barber recorded nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  London Maiden chipped in with six points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Dorian Jones added seven points, five rebounds, and six steals.

 

Layne Sarver led New Madison Tri-Village with 13 points including two three point baskets, two assists, three blocked shots, and four steals. Josh Scantland added seven points and four rebounds.  Dalton DeLong pulled down seven rebounds.

Centerville (29-1) vs. Pickerington Central (26-2) Division I (Championship)

 

Centerville coach Brook Cupps started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Tom House, 6-5 Sr. Ryan Keifer,6-7 Sr. Rich Rolf, 6-2 Jr. Emmanuel Deng, and 6-2 Jr. Gabe Cupps.  Pickerington Central coach Davion Bates countered with 6-6 Jr. Devin Royal, 6-4 Jr. Alex Styles, 6-8 Jr. Gavin Headings, 5-11 Sr. Joshua Harlan, and 6-0 So. Juwan Turner.

 

Pickerington Central defeated Centerville by the score of 55-48.  Pickerington Central shot 60% from the field including three of eight from the three point line.  The Tigers connected on 10of 13 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off five Centerville turnovers.  Centerville shot 39.6% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Elks connected on four of four free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 10 points off eight Pickerington Central turnovers.

 

Devin Royal led Pickerington Central with 20 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Joshua Harlan added 11 points including four of four free throws and three rebounds.  Alex Styles recorded four points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

 

Gabe Cupps led Centerville with 14 points including three of three free throws, and four assists.  Rich Rolf added 12 points including two three point baskets, and seven rebounds.  Tom House recorded 11 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.
