Madison Southern captured their first victory of the season with a 37-6 victory over Lafayette. Madison Southern recorded 11 first downs and 437 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized five times for 48 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Lafayette recorded six first downs and 114 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized six times for 48 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Juan Rodriguez led Madison Southern with 164 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Cade Sullivan added 102 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Ethan Woods completed seven of 17 passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. Ethan Moore caught two passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns. J. Ethridge added two receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown. J. Ethridge returned two punts for 25 yards with a long return of 22 yards and returned one kickoff for 13 yards. P. Williams led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards. J. Ethridge added four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Breaden Kelley recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss and intercepted a pass. Ayden Tremblay also intercepted a pass.

Dez Hanley led Lafayette’s ground game with 42 yards on five carries. J. Stephens carried the ball eight times for 38 yards. MacKing completed seven of 18 passes for 31 yards with two interceptions. E. Pierre-Louis caught one pass for 37 yards. E. Pierre=Louis returned four kickoffs for 96 yards with a long return of 36 yards. Darian Kesner led the defense with five solo tackles. Felix Brady recorded three solo and one assisted tackles, recovered two fumbles, and intercepted one pass. E. Pierre-Louis added three solo and one assisted tackles.
