Southwestern vs. Madison Central

Southwestern defeated Madison Central 36-0 to improve to 10-0 to finish the regular season undefeated for the first time in program history. Madison Central fumbled on their first two possessions and Southwestern capitalized to lead 14-0 and dominated play all night. Three turnovers and an anemic 169 yards of total offense doomed the Indians against a very efficient Southwestern squad. Southwestern recorded 25 first downs and 397 yards of total offense. The Warriors were penalized three times for 25 yards and lost a fumble. Madison Central recorded nine first downs and 169 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized four times for 25 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Tanner Wright led Southwestern’s ground game with 119 yards on 12 carries. Christian Walden carried the ball 11 times for 84 yards and four touchdowns. Roger Oliver recorded 70 yards on five carries. Braxton Walters carried the ball seven times for 31 yards and a touchdown. Roger Oliver completed eight of 14 passes for 56 yards. Collin Burton completed three of three passes for 18 yards. Mason Hibbard caught two passes for 31 yards. Mason Hibbard intercepted a pass.

Brady Hensley led Madison Central’s ground game with 112 yards on 19 carries. Hagan Harrison carried the ball five times for 22 yards. Hagan Harrison completed two of 13 passes for 30 yards with one interception. Nathan Ogle caught one pass for 23 yards. Jayden West returned two kickoffs for 61 yards. Bryant Mathis returned one kickoff for 39 yards.
