Southwestern defeated Madison Southern by the score of 41-14. Southwestern recorded 22 first downs and 420 yards of total offense. The Warriors were penalized six times for 50 yards and had one pass intercepted. Madison Southern recorded 11 first downs and 260 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized eight times for 85 yards.
Tanner Wright led Southwestern’s ground game with 158 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries. Christian Walden carried the ball 12 times for 113 yards and a touchdown. Braxton Walters recorded 35 yards and a touchdown on three carries. Roger Oliver completed two of four passes for 34 yards with one interception. Collin Burton completed two of two passes for 26 yards. Lucas McKee, Maddox Mink, Christian Walden, and Mason Hibbard each caught one pass of 21, 18, 13, and eight yards respectively. JJ Hutchinson returned three kickoffs for 86 yards. Maddox Mink led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles. Ben Coomer added four solo and seven assisted tackles. Wyatt Stafford recorded two solo and six assisted tackles.
Cade Sullivan led Madison Southern’s ground game with 70 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Juan Rodriguez carried the ball 11 times for 42 yards. Stephen Whitehead added 42 yards on eight carries. Ethan Woods completed nine of 17 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown. Cade Sullivan caught five passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. Brayden Hall added one reception for 18 yards. Ethan Moore caught one pass for 16 yards. Jayshaun Ethridge returned two kickoffs for 30 yards. Ethan Moore returned one kickoff for 21 yards. RJ Blair returned two kickoffs for 15 yards. Jackson Chambers intercepted a pass.
