Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Murray Gavin started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Tyler Gadd, 6-1 Sr. Nick Spalding, 6-3 Sr. Cade Hilt, 5-8 So. Mason VanDyke, and 6-1 Sr. Max VanDyke. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-2 Jr. Brady Hussey, 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-3 Sr. Aiden Jones, 5-10 Fr. Athens McGillis, and 6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro.

Covington Catholic defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by the score of 87-58. Covington Catholic shot 50% from the field including nine of 25 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 18 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 41.5% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Covington Catholic turnovers.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 22 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. Brady Hussey added 14 points including two three point baskets, 6-6 Sr. Colin Detzel recorded 14 points.

Max VanDyke led Dunbar with 12 points and four rebounds. Cade Hilt added 11 points and four rebounds. 5-11 Sr. Benjamin Haggard recorded 11 points including two three point baskets. Nick Spalding chipped in with 10 points.
