Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-3 Sr. DeJohn Blunt, 611 So. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 So. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 So. Gage Richardson. Frederick Duglass coach Wes Scarberry countered with 6-3 So. Aveion Chenault, 6-1 Sr. Eric Triplett, 6-3 So. Armelo Boone, 6-2 So. Logan Busson, and 6-2 Sr. Kai Simpson.

Great Crossing raced out to a 20-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 78-60 victory over Frederick Douglass. Great Crossing shot 60% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored four points off five Frederick Douglass turnovers. Frederick Douglass shot 38.7% from the field including three of 22 from beyond the arc. The Broncos connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Great Crossing turnovers.

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots. Junius Burrell added 17 points including two three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, four rebounds, and five assists. Jeremiah Godfrey recorded 12 points. 6-5 So. Vince Dawson III chipped in with 11 points, four rebounds, and six assists. DeJohn Blunt added 10 points and three rebounds.

Kai Simpson led Frederick Douglass with 24 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 5-9 So. Derion Talbert added nine points and Logan Busson recorded eight points, four rebounds, and two assists.
