Covington Catholic vs. Bracken County (Boys)

Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-2 Jr. Brady Hussey, 6-3 Sr. Aiden Jones, 5-10 Fr. Athens McGillis, and 6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro. Bracken County coach Adam Reed countered with 5-10 Jr. Devante Jefferson, 5-10 So. Chase Archibald, 6-3 Jr. Austin Norton, 5-10 So. Cayden Reed, and 5-11 Jr. Blake Reed.

Covington Catholic defeated Bracken County by the score of 79-70. Covington Catholic shot 50.8% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 11 Bracken County turnovers. Bracken County shot 50% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc. The Polar Bears connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored three points off 11 Covington Catholic turnovers.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 33 points including five of seven free throws, 10 rebounds, and three assists. Brady Hussey added 15 points including five of five free throws, Kascyl McGillis recorded 12 points including two three point baskets. 6-3 So. Jack Stewart chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.

Blake Reed led Bracken County with 23 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds. Cayden Reed added 21 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Austin Norton recorded 13 points and Chase Archibald chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
