Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Tyler Doyle, 6-5 Sr. Hudson Sparks, 7-1 Sr. Reece Potter, 6-0 Jr. John Reinhart, and 6-3 Jr. Brody Turner. Lexington Christian Academy coach Ted Hall countered with 6-2 So. Hagan Preston, 6-2 So. Andersen Green, 6-4 Sr. Tyler Hall, 5-11 So. Saxton Howard, and 6-0 Sr. Connor Martin.
LCA raced out to an 18-0 lead and led 42-24 at halftime before Lexington Catholic rallied to pull ahead in the final seconds for a 67-66 victory. LCA had one final chance but missed the front end of a 1-and-1 at the free throw line. Lexington Catholic shot 46.6% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line. The Knights connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 21 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 53.3% from the field including 11 of 26 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Tyler Hall led LCA with 18 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds. Connor Martin added 14 points including four three point baskets. Saxton Howard recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, fout assists, and two steals. Andersen Green added seven points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
