Montgomery County coach Dustin High started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Allie Dillon, 5-7 Jr. Reaghan Oney, 5-10 Jr. Shaelynn Harris, 5-8 8th Grade Elaine Purvis, and 5-7 So. Hayden Barrier. Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 6-1 Jr. Rachel Shropshire, 6-1 So. Juliana Frazee, 6-4 Sr. Jhaven Meade, 5-5 Fr. Logan Kennedy, and 6-0 Sr. Jazmin Chambers.

Montgomery County trailed 46-40 after three quarters but outscored Franklin County 25-10 in the final quarters to earn a 65-56 victory on the road over the Lady Flyers. Montgomery County shot 49% from the field including 11 of 24 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers. Franklin County shot 33.9% from the field including eight of 24 from beyond the arc. The Lady Flyers connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers.

Allie Dillon led Montgomery County with 22 points including six three point baskets, five rebounds, and two steals. Hayden Barrier added 22 points including four three point baskets, three assists, and two steals. Shaelynn Harris recorded 12 points and nine rebounds.

Rachel Shropshire led Franklin County with 16 points including four three point baskets and three rebounds. 5-3 So. Leia Hogan added 13 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, and four steals. Juliana Frazee recorded 12 points and six rebounds. Jhaven Meade pulled down seven rebounds.
