Madison Southern coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Eden Carter, 5-7 So. Brooke Campbell, 5-10 Jr. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 So. Nataya Strader. Frederick Douglass coach Darryl Moberly countered with 5-9 So. Amayah Maxwell, 5-9 Sr. Jermyra Christian, 5-9 8th Grade Jaylee Knowles, 5-4 So. Kate Baker, and 5-7 So. Niah Rhodes.

Frederick Douglass pulled away late to defeat Madison Central by the score of 67-58. Frederick Douglass shot 43.4% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Broncos connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and committed 22 turnovers. Madison Central shot 32.4% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on seven of 18 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.

Niah Rhodes led Frederick Douglass with 32 points including six three point baskets (some from NBA range), four of five free throws, three rebounds, and two steals. Kate Baker added 11 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Jermyra Christian recorded seven points and eight rebounds. 6-2 Jr. Ayanni-Sarai Darrington added six points and 14 rebounds.

Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 19 points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals. Brittany Campbell added 17 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and six assists. Brooke Campbell recorded six points on two three point baskets, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Nataya Strader chipped in with five points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
