Highlands coach Kevin Listerman started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Seth Ryan, 5-11 Jr. Brayden Moeves, 6-4 Jr. Brody Benke, 5-9 Sr. William Herald, and 5-10 Jr. Nathan Vinson. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-2 Sr. Ayden Link, 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-3 Sr. Aiden Jones, 5-10 Fr. Athens McGillis, and 6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro.

Covington Catholic defeated Highlands by the score of 71-51. Covington Catholic shot 47.6% from the field including seven of 23 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on four of four free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 18 Highlands turnovers. Highlands shot 33.3% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc. The Blue Birds connected on 14 of 15 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Covington Catholic turnovers.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 29 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Ayden Link added 16 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three assists. Athens McGillis recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and five assists. Kascyl McGillis chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.

Seth Ryan led Highlands with 13 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Brayden Moeves added 11 points including three three point baskets. Brody Benke recorded eight points and seven rebounds. Nathan Vinson chipped in with seven points and three rebounds. 6-1 Jr. Carson Class also scored seven points.
