Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-2 Sr. Brady Hussey, 6-3 Sr. Aiden Jones, 5-10 Fr. Athens McGillis, and 6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro. Campbell County coach Aric Russell countered with 6-4 Sr. Aydan Hamilton, 6-3 Sr. Jake Gross, 6-4 Jr. Connor Weinel, 5-11 So. Garyn Jackson, and 6-3 Jr. Nathan Smith.

Covington Catholic rallied from a 56-46 deficit after three quarters to defeat Campbell County 85-82 in overtime. There were seven lead changes and six ties in this game. Covington Catholic shot 46.8% from the field including nine of 25 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 18 of 25 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Campbell County turnovers. Campbell County shot 49.2% from the field including eight of 21 from beyond the arc. The Camels connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 11 Covington Catholic turnovers.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 32 points including 10 of 11 free throws, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Brady Hussey added 26 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists. Kascyl McGillis recorded 12 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.

Aydan Hamilton led Campbell County with 29 points including three three point baskets, eight of 10 free throws, and nine rebounds. Jake Gross added 16 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds. Garyn Jackson recorded 16 points and two assists. Connor Weinel chipped in with 10 points.
