DeSales vs. Covington Catholic (Boys)

DeSales coach Damien Anderson started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. William Gibson, 6-2 Sr. Tyler Klein, 6-8 Sr. Crew Gibson, 5-11 Jr. Brady Cummins, and 6-1 Jr. Julian Bunton. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-3 Sr. Trevor Fryman, 6-2 Sr, Ayden Link, 6-6 Sr. Colin Detzel, 5-9 Sr. Parker Greis, and 6-1 Sr. Wynn Tranter.

Covington Catholic defeated DeSales by the score of 82-76. Covington Catholic shot 59.6% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine DeSales turnovers. DeSales shot 56.9% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored four points off three Covington Catholic turnovers.

6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 32 points including six of six free throws, three rebounds, and eight assists. 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis added 18 points including four three point baskets, and four of four free throws. 6-2 Jr. Brady Hussey recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds. Ayden Link chipped in with eight points, two rebounds, and two assists.

Crew Gibson led DeSales with 20 points, 15 rebounds, and two blocked shots. William Gibson added 20 points, six rebounds, and nine assists. Brady Cummins recorded 17 points including three three point baskets. Julian Bunton chipped in with 11 points.
