Pikeville coach Elisha Justice started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Rylee Samons, 6-2 So. Ian Onkst, 6-8 Jr. Charlie Fitzer, 6-0 Jr. Eli Johnson, and 6-0 Jr. Josh Hughes. Madison Southern coach Bill Bevins countered with 6-3 Jr. Jay Rose, 6-0 Jr. Avery Davidson, 6-5 Sr. Brett Erslan, 5-8 So. Casen Nobbe, and 6-0 Jr. Braden Hudson. (Madison Southern was without the ser.vices of Zach Hudson tonight).

Pikeville led Madison Southern by 24 points mid way through the third quarter and withstood a rally by Madison Southern to earn an 85-75 victory. Pikeville shot 56.9% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. The Panthers connected on 22 of 30 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 13 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 43.5% from the field including 10 of 31 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 Pikeville turnovers.

Rylee Samons led Pikeville with 32 points including three three point baskets, 11 of 13 free throws, seven rebounds, and four assists. Charlie Fitzer added 19 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Ian Onkst recorded 17 points, four rebounds, and three steals. Josh Hughes chipped in with 11 points, four rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.

Jay Rose led Madison Southern with 30 points including two three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, four rebounds, and three steals. Braden Hudson added 23 points including five three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Avery Davidson recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
