Male coach Tim Haworth started the following lineup: 6-2 Fr. Cole Edelen, 6-2 Sr. Demetrius White, 6-5 So. Jayson Gasaway, 5-11 Jr. Max Gainey, and 5-11 Sr. Jack Edelen. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-2 Jr. Brady Hussey, 6-3 Sr. Aiden Jones, 5-10 Fr. Athens McGillis, and 6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro.

Male defeated Covington Catholic 100-89 in two overtimes. There were five lead changes and eight ties in this game. Male shot 55.7% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line. The Bulldogs connected on 24 of 29 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 19 Covington Catholic turnovers. Covington Catholic shot 49.3% from the field including nine of 29 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Male turnovers.

Jayson Gasaway led Male with 32 points including nine of 10 free throws, and six rebounds. Jack Edelen added 24 points including four three point baskets, six of six free throws, three assists, and four steals. Cole Edelen recorded 20 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, and five rebounds. Demetrius White chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 28 points including four of five free throws, eight rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Kascyl McGillis added 22 points including four three point baskets. Brady Hussey recorded 16 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four assists. Aiden Jones chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.
