Estill County vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

Estill County coach Ruth Hughes started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Sarah Baker, 5-6 Fr. Ava Hale, 5-9 Jr. Haley Angel, 5-3 Fr. Callie Snowden, and 5-5 So. Jayci Long. Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-7 Sr. Jada Carter, 5-5 So. Ashlan Estep, 5-11 Sr. Bella Moberly, 5-4 Fr. Hadley French, and 5-7 Sr. Tara Wooten.

Madison Southern defeated Estill County by the score of 53-48. The score was tied five times and there were three lead changes in the game. Madison Southern shot 31.7% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on nine of 20 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Estill County turnovers. Estill County shot 43.5% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Engineers connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored two points off five Madison Southern turnovers.

Bella Moberly led Madison Southern with 16 points, 17 rebounds, and three steals. Hadley French added 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Jada Carter recorded eight points and four rebounds. 5-10 Fr. Laci Sandlin chipped in with eight points, three rebounds, and three assists. Tara Wooten added five points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Ashlan Estep recorded five points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Jayci Lung led Estill County with 17 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists. Haley Angel added 14 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots. Callie Snowden recorded seven points, three rebounds, and six assists. Sarah Baker pulled down nine rebounds, and blocked three shots. Ava Hale added four points, five rebounds, and four assists.
