Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Kascyl McGillis, 6-2 Jr. Brady Hussey, 6-3 Sr. Aiden Jones, 5-10 Fr. Athens McGillis, and 6-1 Sr. Evan Ipsaro. North Laurel coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-4 Sr. Ryan Davidson, 6-2 So. Colton Rawlings, 6-4 Jr. Gavin Chadwell, 6-1 Jr. Brody Brock, and 6-3 Sr. Reed Sheppard.

North Laurel defeated Covington Catholic by the score of 72-58. North Laurel shot 51.1% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 21 of 27 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored six points off four Covington Catholic turnovers. Covington Catholic shot 37.5% from the field including nine of 30 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 North Laurel turnovers.

Ryan Davidson led North Laurel with 21 points and seven rebounds. Reed Sheppard added 19 points including eight of 10 free throws, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Gavin Chadwell recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds. Brody Brock chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Colton Rawlings added seven points including five of five free throws, and five rebounds.

Evan Ipsaro led Covington Catholic with 22 points including four of four free throws, four rebounds, and four assists. Kascyl McGillis added 16 points including five three point baskets. Brady Hussey recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.
