Madison Southern vs. Great Crossing (Boys)

Madison Southern coach Bill Bevins started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Jay Rose, 6-1 Jr. Zach Hudson, 6-5 Sr. Brett Erslan, 5-8 So. Casen Nobbe, and 6-0 Jr. Braden Hudson. Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-7 Jr. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-5 So. Vince Dawson III, 6-11 So. Malachi Moreno, 5-8 So. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 So. Gage Richardson.

Great Crossing defeated Madison Southern by the score of 80-69. The score was tied four times and there were four lead changes in the game. Great Crossing shot 54.2% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 12 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 41.9% from the field including 12 of 29 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored seven points off five Great Crossing turnovers.

Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 27 points, 12 rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals. Jeremiah Godfrey added 17 points and six rebounds. Vince Dawson III recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Junius Burrell chipped in with 10 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Gage Richardson added nine points including two three point baskets and five assists.

Braden Hudson led Madison Southern with 20 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists. Jay Rose added 20 points, five rebounds, and two assists. 6-0 Jr. Avery Davidson recorded 12 points on four three point baskets and five rebounds. Casen Nobbe chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.
