Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Tara Wooten, 5-7 Sr. Jada Carter, 5-11 Sr. Bella Moberly, 5-4 Fr. Hadley French, and 5-5 So. Ashlan Estep. Madison Central coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Jr. Eden Carter, 5-7 So. Brooke Campbell, 5-10 Jr. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 So. Nataya Strader.
Brittany Campbell hit two free throws with 23 seconds left in the game and Madison Central survived a defensive battle to defeat Madison Southern by the score of 31-28. Madison Central shot 32.4% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on four of 13 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 26.3% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored five points off 12 Madison Central turnovers.
5-7 Jr. Olivia Metcalfe led Madison Central with eight points including two three point baskets. Brittany Campbell added seven points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Nataya Strader recorded six points and five rebounds. Bailey Hensley added four points, 12 rebounds, and two assists.
Tara Wooten led Madison Southern with 10 points including two three point baskets and two steals. Jada Carter added six points and seven rebounds. Hadley French recorded six points. 5-8 Sr. Megan Correll added two points, six rebounds, and two steals.
