DeSales coach Damien Anderson started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Will Gibson, 6-2 Sr. Tyler Klein, 6-8 Sr. Crew Gibson, 5-11 Jr. Brady Cummins, and 6-1 Jr. Julian Bunton. Jeffersontown coach Richard Duncan countered with 6-3 Sr. Rhys Taylor, 6-3 So. Cam McDaniels, 6-5 Jr. Lukus McDaniels, 5-11 Sr. Brandon Gatewood, and 6-0 Sr. Jaydon Hackley.
Brandon Gatewood hit a reverse layup with approximately eight seconds left in the game to give Jeffersontown a 55-54 victory over DeSales. DeSales had one last opportunity but Crew Gibson hit a mid-range jump shot at the buzzer. DeSales shot 53.8% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Colts connected on eight of 16 free throws and pulled down 21 rebounds.
6-3 Jr. Brenton Moore led Jeffersontown with 19 points. Cam McDaniels added 11 points and Brandon Gatewood chipped in with nine points.
Crew Gibson led DeSales with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Will Gibson added 12 points. Tyler Klein chipped in with eight points.
