Webb School vs. MTCS (Girls) Class A

Webb coach Matthew Shewmake started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Rhema Collins, 6-0 Jr. Bre’aria Cannon, 6-6 Sr. Aalyah Del Rosario, 5-7 Sr. Angelica Velez, and 5-10 Sr. Bree Robinson. MTCS coach Hannah Jones countered with 5-10 Fr. Ashley Rucker, 5-9 Sr. Jailyn Banks, 6-0 Fr. Anna Clay Shirley, 5-4 Sr. Autumn Davis, and 5-9 So. Claire Knight.

Webb School outscored MTCS by a combined score of 42-13 in the second and third quarters on their way to a 73-43 victory. Webb shot 43.5% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line. The Feet connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 56 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers. MTCS shot 18.9% from the field including four of 26 from beyond the arc. The Cougars connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.

Aalyah Del Rosario led Webb with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Rhema Collins added 13 points and 14 rebounds. 6-0 So. Daria Biriuk recorded 11 points including three three point baskets. Bree Robinson chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, six assists, and six steals. Angelica Velez added six points, eight rebounds, and nine assists.

Jailyn Banks led MTCS with 13 points including nine of 10 free throws, six rebounds, and two steals. Anna Clay Shirley added eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds. Autumn Davis recorded seven points, three rebounds, and three assists. 5-7 Jr. Riley Smith chipped in with six points and three rebounds.

Goodpasture vs. Notre Dame (Boys) Class A

Goodpasture coach Adam Sonn started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Jayden Jones, 6-3 Sr. Shawn Link, 6-6 Sr. Jack Carter, 6-0 So. King Keary, and 6-2 Sr. Isaiah West. Notre Dame coach Jonathan Davis countered with 6-4 Sr. Benjamin Houston, 6-3 So. Gaas Herman, 6-5 Jr. Cole McCormick, 5-8 Sr. Kenny Hammond, and 6-2 Sr. DJ Brown.

Goodpasture defeated Notre Dame by the score of 59-48. The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes in this game. Goodpasture shot 47.8% from the field including one of five from the three point line. The Cougars connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Notre Dame turnovers. Notre Dame shot 37.5% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Fighting Irish connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Goodpasture turnovers.

Jayden Jones led Goodpasture with 19 points and nine rebounds. Isaiah West added 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Jack Carter recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Gaas Herman led Notre Dame with 13 points including two three point baskets and five of six free throws. DJ Brown added 13 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds. Cole McCormick recorded 12 points including six of eight free throws, two rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.

Ensworth vs. Knoxville Catholic (Girls) Class AA

Ensworth coach Mary Taylor Cowlws started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Jayden Surratt, 5-8 Jr. Jaloni Cambridge, 6-1 Jr. Sullivan Brown, 5-4 Fr. Nori Jamison, and 5-8 Jr. Camilla Garza. Knoxville Catholic coach Travis Mains countered with 5-9 Sr. Jazmine Williams, 5-10 Jr. Sydney Mains, 5-11 Jr. Caroline Krueger, 5-8 Fr. Logan Connatser, and 5-9 So. Margaret Frana.

Knoxville Catholic rallied in the final quarter to defeat Ensworth by the score of 64-59. The score was tied eight times and there were 19 lead changes in this game. Knoxville Catholic shot 44.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Fighting Irish connected on 19 of 32 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored seven points off seven Ensworth turnovers. Ensworth shot 33.9% from the field including three of 23 from beyond the arc. The Tigers connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Knoxville Catholic turnovers.

Sydney Mains led Knoxville Catholic with 33 points including five three point baskets, 12 of 15 free throws, and six rebounds. 5-11 So. Amaya Redd added 14 points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. 5-4 Fr. Evaiya Mitchell recorded seven points and two rebounds.

Jaloni Cambridge led Ensworth with 41 points including two three point baskets, nine of 13 free throws, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. 5-11 Fr. Alana Wells added seven points and six rebounds. Sullivan Brown recorded three points and seven rebounds. Nori Jamison chipped in with two points, eight rebounds, and two assists.

Brentwood Academy vs. Briarcrest (Boys) Class AA

Brentwood Academy coach Andy Blackston started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Lincoln Aholt, 6-2 Sr. Drey Moss, 6-6 So. George McIntyre, 6-0 Jr. Tyler Tanner, and 6-1 Sr. Jayson Nixon. Briarcrest coach John Harrington countered with 6-7 Fr. Fred Smith, 6-2 Jr. Cooper Haynes, 6-9 Sr. Jacob Gazzo, 6-0 Jr. Whit Altmyer, and 6-1 Jr. Jaye Nash.

Brentwood Academy defeated Briarcrest by the score of 63-52. Brentwood Academy shot 44.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 18 of 28 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Briarcrest turnovers. Briarcrest shot 31.6% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc. The Saints connected on 24 of 29 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Brentwood Academy turnovers.

Tyler Tanner led Brentwood Academy with 22 points including six of eight free throws, three rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Jayson Nixon added 19 points including five three point baskets. George McIntyre recorded 10 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.

Cooper Haynes led Briarcrest with 14 points including nine of 10 free throws and three rebounds. Jaye Nash added 10 points including five of six free throws, four rebounds, and five assists. Whit Altmyer chipped in with eight points. Fred Smith recorded seven points and 15 rebounds.
