Madison Central vs. Model (Girls) February 20th

Madison Central coach Scott True started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Eden Carter, 5-7 So. Brooke Campbell, 5-10 Jr. Bailey Hensley, 5-7 So. Brittany Campbell, and 5-6 So. Nataya Strader. Model coach Scotty Sutton countered with 5-7 Sr. Avery Tuttle, 5-6 So. Rylli Hunt, 5-9 Sr. Alyssa Hudson, 5-6 Jr. Maiya Bhandari, and 5-7 Fr. Jadie Balser,

Madison Central defeated Model by the score of 74-24. Madison Central shot 53.6% from the field including five of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 33 points off 29 Model turnovers. Model shot 44.4 % from the field including two of three from beyond the arc. (Model was only able to get off 18 shots in this game). The Lady Patriots connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 14 rebounds, and scored two points off four Madison Central turnovers.

Nataya Strader led Madison Central with 15 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Bailey Hensley added 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and four steals. 5-7 Jr. Olivia Metcalfe recorded 11 points including two three point baskets and two steals in only eight minutes of play. Brittany Campbell chipped in with 10 points, five assists, and three steals. Brooke Campbell added five points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

Jadie Balser, Maiya Bhandari, and 5-7 Sr. Paige Mattingly each scored five points for Model. Rylli Hunt added four points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Jaylen Davis, 6-3 Sr. Jayden West, 6-7 Sr. Robby Todd, 5-11 Jr. Parker Mullins, and 6-3 Jr. Eli Steele. Model coach John Morgerson countered with 5-11 Sr. Jude Vicars, 5-11 Sr. Cale Vicars, 6-0 Sr. Keshav Bhandari, 5-9 So. Beck. Parker-Noblitt, and 5-11 Fr. Riley Mollette.

Madison Central outscored Model 30-5 in the second quarter on their way to a 75-28 victory over Model. Madison Central shot 52.7% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 19 Model turnovers. Model shot 32.3% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored five points off six Madison Central turnovers.

Robby Todd led Madison Central with 16 points including four of four free throws and six rebounds. Jayden West added 13 points, five assists, and five steals. Jaylen Davis recorded 10 points, four assists, and five steals.

Cale Vicars led Model with 10 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two steals. Keshav Bhandari added nine points and three assists. Riley Mollette recorded seven points and two rebounds.

Berea vs. Madison Southern (Girls) February 21st

Berea coach Dammian Stepp started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Abigail Beard, 5-7 Jr. Sophie Brewer. 6-0 Jr. Lauren Stepp, 5-1 Jr. Maddy King, and 5-6 Jr. Mandy Newman. Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-7 Sr. Tara Wooten, 5-7 Sr. Jada Carter, 5-11 Sr. Bella Moberly, 5-4 Fr. Hadley French, and 5-5 So. Ashlan Estep.

Madison Southern defeated Berea by the score of 57-13. Madison Southern played a suffocating defense denying Maddy King the ball and Berea had a dismal shooting day from the field (3 of 27) and Madison Southern shot 52,9%, and scored 25 points off 17 Berea turnovers. Madison Southern shot 52.9% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 17 free throws and pulled down 30 rebounds. Berea shot 11.1% from the field including zero of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Pirates connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 12 rebounds, and scored three points off nine Madison Southern turnovers.

Hadley French led Madison Southern with 21 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. 5-8 Sr. Megan Correll added 10 points including six of seven free throws and three rebounds. Jada Carter recorded nine points including five of six free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. 5-10 Fr, Laci Sandlin added six points and three rebounds while Bella Moberly recorded five points, six rebounds, and two assists,

Sophie Brewer led Berea with six points including four of five free throws and five rebounds. Mandy Newman added three points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Madison Southern coach Bill Bevins countered with 6-3 Jr. Jay Rose, 6-1 Jr. Zach Hudson, 6-5 Sr. Brett Erslan, 5-8 So. Casen Nobbe, and 6-0 Jr. Braden Hudson.

Madison Southern pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Berea by the score of 73-58. There were three ties and three lead changes. Madison Southern shot 47.9% from the field including three of 17 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 24 of 29 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 21 Berea turnovers. Berea shot 37.5% from the field including two of 18 from beyond the arc. The Pirates connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 20 Madison Southern turnovers.

Zach Hudson led Madison Southern with 22 points including three three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, eight rebounds, and two assists. Jay Rose added 16 points including six of six free throws, three rebounds, and three steals. Brett Erslan recorded 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocked shots. Braden Hudson chipped in with nine points, six rebounds, eight assists, and five steals. 6-0 Jr. Avery Davidson added nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Cameron Puckett led Berea with 17 points including seven of nine free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Tommy Banderman 15 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Jack Hemenway recorded 11 points. Finley Blevins chipped in with nine points including four of six free throws, three rebounds, and two assists.

Madison Central survived a low scoring defensive struggle to defeat Madison Southern by the score of 31-28. Madison Central shot 32.4% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Indians connected on four of 13 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 26.3% from the field including two of 10 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored five points off 12 Madison Central turnovers.

5-7 Jr. Olivia Metcalfe led Madison Central with eight points including two three point baskets in nine minutes of playing time. Brittany Campbell added seven points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Nataya Strader recorded six points and five rebounds. Bailey Hensley added four points, 12 rebounds, and two assists. Brooke Campbell pulled down eight rebounds.

Tara Wooten led Madison Southern with 10 points including two three point baskets and two steals. Jada Carter added six points and seven rebounds. Hadley French recorded six points and two rebounds. Megan Correll chipped in with two points, six rebounds, and two steals. Laci Sandlin added two points and five rebounds.

Madison Central defeated Madison Southern by the score of 57-47. The score was tied twice and there were five lead changes in the game. Madison Central shot 32.7% from the field including four of 22 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 17 of 27 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 28,6% from the field including four of 22 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Madison Central turnovers.

Jaylen Davis led Madison Central with 27 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 15 free throws, 13 rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Jayden West added 13 points, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Robby Todd recorded 12 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Braden Hudson led Madison Southern with 23 points including three three point baskets, six of nine free throws, and eight rebounds. Jay Rose added 14 points including seven of eight free throws, and 14 rebounds. Zach Hudson recorded five points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
