Bryan Station defeated Bowling Green 38-35 on a 40 yard field goal by Zachary Gentry with six seconds left on the clock. Bowling Green gave a great effort tonight despite being hampered by injuries (starting RB Javen Huddleston among others and being without the services of their regular kicker who was at a soccer tournament) but Bryan Station also played an excellent game and gained a well earned victory. Bryan Station recorded 22 first downs and 435 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized four times for 35 yards and had a pass intercepted. Bowling Green recorded 21 first downs and 444 yards of total offense. The Purples were penalized twice for 25 yards and had two passes intercepted.
Kalen Washington led Bryan Station’s ground game with 135 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Trenton Cutwright carried the ball 12 times for 117 yards and a touchdown. Bayubahe Benit recorded 80 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Trenton Cutwright completed 10 of 21 passes for 116 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Javari Burnett caught five passes for 54 yards. JT Haskins Jr. caught three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. Kamani Barbour added one reception for 20 yards. Kalen Washington returned two kickoffs for 41 yards with a long return of 34 yards. Bayubahe Benit returned two kickoffs for 22 yards with a long return of 15 yards. Javari Burnett added one kickoff return for 14 yards. Jason Hocker led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles. Keelan Adams added six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a loss totaling two yards. Jordan Haskins recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned for 43 yards. ZjaLijuon White chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.
Deuce Bailey led Bowling Green’s ground game with 48 yards and a touchdown on five carries. Jaxen Smith carried the ball 10 times for 35 yards and a touchdown. Deuce Bailey completed 24 of 38 passes for 327 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. Ethan Warder caught seven passes for 57 yards and a touchdown. Trevy Barber caught four passes for 97 yards. Matthew Klein added four receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. Jaxen Smith chipped in with four catches for 50 yards. Christopher Sweeney added three receptions for 20 yards and a touchdown. Jaxen Smith returned two kickoffs for 27 yards with a long return of 14 yards. Max Buchanon led the defense with 11 solo and five assisted tackles. Montrez Trussel added nine solo and four assisted tackles. Evan Tuck recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and AJ Woodard intercepted a pass.
