George Rogers Clark defeated Henry Clay by the score of 48-27. George Rogers Clark recorded 26 first downs and 403 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized 12 times for 113 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Henry Clay recorded 14 first downs and 202 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized 10 times for 86 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.
Bryce Chestnut led GRC’s ground game with 226 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. Sam Clements carried the ball 13 times for 13 yards and a touchdown. Sam Clements completed 13 of 21 passes for 157 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Haddon Cecil caught six passes for 78 yards. Camahni John added four receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown. Carter Maynard returned three kickoffs for 55 yards with a long return of 37 yards. Camahni John returned one kickoff for 14 yards. Hayden Heath led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss and scored on a 51 yard interception return. Quintin Falls added three solo and one assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass. TJ Hooten also recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Camahni John intercepted a pass he returned 40 yards.
Henry Macket led Henry Clay’s ground game with 30 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Rohan Taylor completed 10 of 27 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions. L. Merriman caught four passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Luke DiNardo added two receptions for 42 yards. Walden Cole recorded two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. Luke Bailey returned three kickoffs for 31 yards with a long return of 21 yards. Walden Cole returned two kickoffs for 21 yards with a long return of 14 yards. L. Merriman returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Walden Cole led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass he returned 25 yards. Hudson Cole added eight solo and one assisted tackles. Luke DiNardo recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.
